Parcel logistics in logistics and distribution sector

Delivering excellence for DPD Group UK

Background

DPD Group UK, a leading parcel logistics company, approached Integrity Print after receiving a recommendation from within the industry. The client was seeking a reliable partner to take over the production and distribution of critical operational print items.

The engagement was initiated and driven by DPD’s rocurement Team, who oversaw a competitive tender process to identify a supplier capable of improving performance, consistency, and account management.

Site visit and reassurance

As part of the tender process, the DPD Procurement Team visited Integrity’s Westfield site near Bath. They were reassured by the scale of the facility and the breadth of inhouse capability. This was a key factor in progressing the relationship, as the client needed a partner who could not only deliver the volume but also manage thecomplexity of the products involved — all under one roof.

Scope of work

The contract covered the ongoing production and management of six separate product lines, including:

  • Safe Place Cards
  • Collection Cards
  • Redelivery Cards

In total, Integrity is responsible for the production and fulfilment of over 1 million items annually, packed into 142,000 product packs and distributed to 75 depots across the UK.

Production and fulfilment process

This multifaceted project was an ideal match for Integrity Print’s integrated capabilities, involving every area of our business:

  • Print Division – Paper-based products printed 8-up on reel via litho web press
  • Labels Division – Integrated bullet labels produced on label stock
  • Digital Division – Application of check digit barcodes and QR codes using both Nipson laser and Canon Colourstream inkjet presses (substrate dependent)
  • Finishing – Final products were finished into small-format sheets via our Hunkeler lines, glued into books, and packed in our hand-finishing department.

All production was managed on-site, providing end-to-end control and minimising the risk of delay or error.

Service & account management with dedicated point of contact

One of the most valued aspects of the project was the seamless service delivery. A dedicated point of contact at Integrity Print managed the entire process, ensuring smooth communications, proactive stock control, and hands-off efficiency for the client.

Following a successful visit to DPD’s Birmingham head office by Integrity Print’s Client Services Director Nathan Douglas and Key Account Manager Matthew Drew, the contract was awarded.

A crucial factor in DPD’s decision was Integrity Print’s proven ability to manage stock levels, maintain reorder thresholds, and minimise the day-to-day burden on the client.

Outcome

The transition to Integrity Print was completed during summer 2025. The client reported a smooth, disruption-free handover and has since praised the overall service:

“We have definitely found the right supplier for this contract and are pleased with the overall engagement and delivery of these businesscritical product lines.”
